195 Crash

A Wareham man was was airlifted to a Rhode Island hospital Tuesday, following a two-car crash on Interstate 195 in Fairhaven. 47 year old Robert Cavanaugh of Wareham was trapped in his vehicle, and had to be freed by rescue personnel. The second driver, 25 year old Alcidia Pereira of New Bedford, will be summonsed into court for a magistrate's hearing to determine what charges she'll be facing. State Police say Pereira's car crossed the median and slammed head-on into a vehicle driven by Cavanaugh.
