Large Users Get Electric Break

There's some good news for large commercial and industrial electrical users on the SouthCoast. NSTAR is projecting a 13% decrease in electrical rates for large users, effective April 1. A spokesman says the rate decrease is happening because of a drop in natural gas prices. Natural gas is the primary fuel used to generate electricity.
